It’s a little bit away from down town and well worth the drive! This is an amazing gem hidden deep in Chicago. The pizza was HUGE!! We got the everything pizza and it did not disappoint! The Fryios (I think) nachos except fries instead of chips. Were also MASSIVE and amazing. The flavor on literally everything was amazing! The service from literally everyone was fantastic, friendly and helpful. My only, and small, complaint was the AC was being worked on and it was a bit toasty inside. We sat in front of the open window and enjoyed the breeze.

I really enjoy Kitchen 17's unique vibe (they were playing a show about newborn kittens on the TV on a Friday night) and have never had a dish I didn't enjoy. Their sweets selection alone is deserving of a 5-star review (lavender vanilla coffee cake, blueberry cheesecake, various fudge, mud pie. . . Even my non-vegan mom has been blown away by the desserts). This is truly the kind of place that foodie vegans like myself dream of. Service at times can feel a bit unserious and inattentive, but I think that is an intentional part of the casual atmosphere they're hoping to create.

Spectacular place, worth coming here. It's the best pizza I've ever had, and it's vegan. Everything is delicious, and the menu is extensive. A 100% place. Very good service.

Found myself at the Judy & the Jerks show. What a blast! This is a quintessential punk vegan bar in Chicago. 10-15 for entrance to the show, great music, great vibe. The person at the door was lovely. Every time I eyed the delicious desserts in the refrigerator she described them to me and advised me about the additional treats and homemade vegan items on their menu. The hosts description convinced me to try a drink at the bar and take home a treat. There were two bartenders that night (apparently unusual). The woman was attentive and helpful. I had a mocktail hibiscus tea that was not overly sweet. I loved it, definitely would try again. I took home a vegan Black Forest whoopie pie looking thing. Yummmmmy. What a fun visit. All the food that came out of the kitchen looked amazing. Highly recommend even for people like me (carnivores).

We enjoyed our meal at Kitchen 17. The vibe was fantastic- creative grunge. We got deep dish pizza and a side salad. Both were great! The deep dish does take a while to cook, so keep that in mind. If we lived nearby, we would totally go here on a regular basis to have a couple beers and play a board game while waiting for our pizza.

Have been here many times before and it’s always a hit, however this time was extra special. My partner and I eloped and we came here after, as it was an obvious choice with the excellent food and good vibes. A kind server named Kyle helped us take pictures and delivered excellent customer service. There was an event going on in the room next to the bar and even then, Kyle was very attentive and kept checking in with us. Highly recommend!

Had a great experience here. Food was amazing. Cheesecakes were to die for. Ate one while waiting for our food and ordered more to go. Waiter was very friendly as well. Atmosphere was also super nice. Would recomend this place to anyone vegan or not!
